Location: Lagos State

 

Job Summary:

Reports to: Country Director. The Finance and Administration (F&A) Manager will lead all day to day financial and administrative activities of the organization and ensure full compliance with company finance and administration policies. The F&A Manager will manage all financial operations, including bookkeeping, QuickBooks transaction entries, report preparation, bank reconciliation, and others, as well as in administration, including: inventory management and reconciliation, vehicle and logistics, procurement, asset management, and others.

 

Job Description:

1. Finance:

  • Lead financial systems implementation, budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting and accounting.
  • Ensure effective internal controls and minimization of risks .
  • Maintain books, record transactions via Quickbooks, reconcile discrepancies.
  • Manage monthly close procedures, including bank reconciliation .
  • Develop and lead monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Oversee annual external audit process 

2. Admin:

  • Implement tasks across multiple functional areas including HR, procurement, inventory, asset disposition, travel and logistics.
  • Conduct local procurement, ensuring full compliance with company policy.
  • Manage inventory and all other assets, monitor and report daily stock movements, ensure proper reconciliation on an ongoing basis (weekly and monthly) 
  • Provide active support, as needed, to other Impact Water Nigeria departments
  • Pro-actively make recommendations for better work methods for improved efficiency and company profitability

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BSc/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics (Master’s will be an added advantage)
  • Professional qualification such as ICAN or relevant.
  • 6+ years’ financial management experience, 5+ years experience in a leadership role.
  • Advanced QuickBooks and Excel skills required.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Self-reliant, results-oriented, organized and attentive to details

The Finance & Administration Manager will work from our Lagos office located in G.R.A.  This position will report to the Country Director.
